Understanding the critical centrality of serenity
If I have serenity, I have ...
If I don't have serenity, I don't have ...
If my reactionary emotions are controlling my mind, I cannot give my full presence to the present moment.
If my reactionary emotions are controlling my mind, I cannot give my full presence to the people who are here.
Serenity is the treasure trove where all the best things in life come from. Serenity is the treasure chest where all the best things in life are contained. Serenity is the paradise where all the best things in life are encountered and properly appreciated.
My emotional well-being allows me to make the best decisions for myself, and serenity allows me to love myself properly and to love my neighbor much better than if my emotions are disturbing my mind and ruining my day.
In the storm you have to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Jesus Christ is the way and the truth and the life. We must keep the main thing As the main thing. That's the individual psychological thrust of the 1st commandment. As Saint Paul says we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we run the race of life. For the Christian, Serenity is keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus
**Matthew 14:22-33** also John 6:16-25, Mark 6:45-52
**Matthew 8:23-27** also Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25

Faith Hope and Love are the foundations of Serenity. Serenity in all possible situations can come from Faith Hope and Love.
