M = Motivation is the desire for a particular outcome {0 = no drive, 1 = total drive}

E = Expectancy or self-efficacy is the probability of success {0 = impossible, 1 = inevitable}

V= Value is the reward associated with the outcome {0 = no value, 1 = ultimate value}

I = Impulsiveness is the individual's sensitivity to delay {0 = no sensitivity, 1 = full sensitivity}

D = Delay is the time to realization {0 = immediate, 1 = way too long}
